Hello Parents,
Lakeside PTA would like to welcome you to the 2010/2011 school year. Lakeside Elementary is a unique school that emphasizes the highest in academic excellence in a nurturing family friendly atmosphere. We hope you enjoy the year to come.
Lakeside PTA ( Parent/Teacher Association) is here to support not only the teachers but also parents and children. In this economic climate our school district has had to cut funding and our children are affected. Our fundraising goal for this year is to raise money to fill in the "gaps" left in budget cuts: ie. classroom supplies, advancing technology throughout school and increased enrichment programs.
Important Upcoming Dates
September 13th
Yankee Candle and Gourmet Foods Fundraising Kickoff.
PTA has chosen the wonderful scents of Yankee Candle and the delicious tastes of baked goods like Louisiana Crumb Cake, New York Style Cheesecake, Margarita Pizza and many more mouthwatering delights as our fundraiser. We hope you will participate as all the money raised goes right back to our children.
September 16th
Volunteer Orientation Breakfast 8:15 a.m.
Come join other volunteers during this informational breakfast to learn what you need to know to volunteer at Lakeside.
September 29th
PTA General Meeting and New Principal Ms. Pazos Meet & Greet 6:30p.m.
We invite you for a quick five minute PTA board meeting that leads to the highlight of the night: meet Ms. Pazos. This is a great chance to get to know your new principal up close and personal. Please join us!
October 22nd
PTA 'Not So Scary' Halloween Party 6:30p.m.
Join your friends for a safe and fun night out in Lakeside Cafeteria. Boogie the night away with our great DJ, create a "creepy" craft or make your own Graveyard dessert cup. Don't forget to wear your Halloween costume you just might win 1st Place in the Costume Contest!

Scholastic Book Fair " Here's To Our Heroes"
Books, books and more books! Instill your child's love of reading while saving your pocket book in our annual book fair. Scholastic provides the latest books at incredible prices right here at Lakeside.
Also, Family night will be Wednesday, November 17th where you can buy dinner to go and bake goods for the road.
